Sprouted Grains

What are sprouted grains?

If you love the idea of eating natural whole foods, try our breads made with sprouted grains, which have amazing nutritional properties.

Sprouted grains are the first step in the growth of a plant, which starts from a seed or grain like kamut, spelt, barley, quinoa, amaranth, or wheat. The seed, which is packed with nutrients needed for the first stage of plant growth, sprouts and becomes metabolically active, releasing important antioxidants not found in the seed version, such as vitamin C, and helps the body absorb minerals like calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, and zinc.

Germination changes the composition of the grain by increasing vitamin content and breaking down amino acids which increases the digestibility of the grain. Our bodies think of sprouted grains as vegetables instead of starches, making them easier to digest and giving us extra energy. Search for our sprouted grain products.
